LOUVRE - LES HALLES - 1er ARRONDISSEMENT
The first Arrondissement of Paris is the geographical center of
Paris and a sort of tourist’s Paradise. For example, the
Louvre Museum, with its gorgeous collection, attracts travellers
from all over the world. Try to walk here around and feel the
enchanting atmosphere of this superb city…between an ancient
palace and a modern structure you’ll really understand the
philosophy of the most romantic city of the world.

BOURSE
- 2ème ARRONDISSEMENT
The second arrondissement divides into three main areas. The trendy
district of Montorgeuil to the east, the business and financial
districts around the Bourse - Paris’ stock market, and the
Opéra district to the west.
The trendy Montorgueil is lively day and night with local commerce,
cafés, restaurants and bars, and is a favourite for the young
people. The business districts, while busy thoroughfares during
the day, are relatively peaceful once the traffic dies down.

MARAIS
- 3ème ARRONDISSEMENT
Along with the 4th Arrondissement, this area makes up the Marais,
one of the oldest areas in Paris. Once this arrondissement was the
place in which noblemen took their residence and some of them have
been turned into museums: for example, the Musée Picasso
and the Musée Carnavalet, which has fun stories to tell about
their one-time tenants, are two examples of this transformation.

NOTRE
DAME - 4ème ARRONDISSEMENT
The 4th arrondissement is the heart of the famous “Le Marais”.
The main attraction of this area is without doubts, the imposing
gothic Cathedral of Notre Dame de Paris. The famous writer Victor
Hugo was only 28 wrote his wonderful novel, “The Hunchback
of Notre-Dame”. This was the tragic love-story of the hunchback
who lived in the cathedral and the beautiful and soft-hearted Esmeralda…

LATIN
QUARTER - 5ème ARRONDISSEMENT
This area is mainly represented by the Quartier Latin. This neighborhood
takes its name from the Sorbonne, where Latin was the common language
for all students during the Middle Ages. The neighborhood has the
feel of a small village and students mix freely with professionals
in its winding streets. The allure of the Sorbonne attracts huge
numbers of students from all over the world; it has been a powerful
center of learning throughout its history.

ST.
GERMAIN DES PRÉS - 6ème
ARRONDISSEMENT
St-Germain des Prés is an extension of the Latin Quarter
and has more or less the same characteristics. Once this area was
home to bohemians and intellectuals and for this reason is considered
a little bit more chic then the Latin Quarter. Several boutiques,
art galleries and restaurants are located everywhere. The Luxembourg
area with its beautiful Palais and Gardens, is very popular with
families, tourists and students.

TOUR
EIFFEL - 7ème ARRONDISSEMENT
The 7th Arrondissement is one of the most interesting arrondissement
in Paris. Landmarks like the Tour Eiffel and the Musée d’Orsay
are here located. Life is somewhat busier on the avenues which form
the boarders of the seventh and towards the sixth but generally
there is a real sense of calm and space with the wide tree lined
avenues and impressive esplanades of Invalides and Champs de Mars.

CHAMPS
ELYSÉES - 8ème ARRONDISSEMENT
The 8th Arrondissement is the quarter mainly characterized by the
Champs Elysées, the beautiful avenue live of tourism thanks
to its cafés, bars and galleries of shops. At the very heart
of Paris, it is one of the most symbolic places in the city, representative
of its spirit and glory. This area is full of interesting sights
and you have only to walk here around to discover the beauty and
the romanticism of this superb city.

OPÉRA
- 9ème ARRONDISSEMENT
The 9th Arrondissement is a lively neighbourhood by day and by night.
Indeed, it has achieved its fame through its big boulevards, such
as the Boulevard du Crime, where numerous shops are open for you.
The typical shops, and the spontaneity of this area, will amaze
you. This area is mainly represented by the Opéra Garnier,
a beautiful palace in which are represented shows and operas from
all over the world.

GARE
DU NORD - 10ème ARRONDISSEMENT
The 10th arrondissement is characterized by two railway stations:
the Gare du Nord and the Gare de l'Est. Don't be surprised if you
hear the sound of trains during your walks in this area! The Canal
St-Martin, the canal that crosses this arrondissement, will allow
you to go on walks alongside the barges.

BASTILLE
- 11ème ARRONDISSEMENT
The 11th arrondissement is represented by the Bastille. The square
named after it, has a monument celebrating the new-found freedom
after the storming of the Bastille in 1789. If you are a little
curious traveller, you will find very interesting streets with a
special atmosphere. Walking here around, have a look to the church
of St-Ambroise and St. Marguerite…you’ll understand
that Paris is a special place everywhere!

GARE
DE LYON - BERCY - 12ème ARRONDISSEMENT
Start your walk in the Bois de Vincennes which will charm you, and
which will be an occasion for you to wander around and discover
its many resources. If you like animals, there is an interesting
zoo and if you love flowers, the floral garden of Paris will delight
you with its great variety of plantations, as well as the arboretum
garden where you can discover exotic vegetation. In this same neighbourhood
you can find the Gare de Lyon one of the main Paris’ railway
stations, that is also a beautiful baroque style building.

GARE
D'AUSTERLITZ - 13ème ARRONDISSEMENT
The 13th Arrondissement is mainly characterized by the railway station
“Gare d’Austelitz” from which depart trains directed
to the South-West of France, Spain and Portugal. Walking in this
area, you’ll also find Place Jeanne d’Arc, the square
named after the famous “Pulcelle d’Orleans”. This
arrondissement is considered above all a Residential quarter.

MONTPARNASSE
- 14ème ARRONDISSEMENT
The area around Boulevard Montparnasse, a former favourite for the
American community, offers a lively café-restaurant culture
and buzzing nightlife and it’s also home to the Observatoire
de Paris. In the early 20th century, Montparnasse became a center
for avant-garde artists such as Modigliani and Chagall, giving to
this area a bohemian atmosphere. The Tower here located, built between
1969 and 1973, became a symbol of modern Paris.

PARIS
EXPO - 15ème ARRONDISSEMENT
The 15th arrondissement houses the impressive Parc des Expositions
de Paris (Paris Expo) located in Porte de Versailles, in which are
held many international exhibitions. Not far from it, lies one of
the main railway stations in Paris, Gare Montparnasse. From this
stations, leave trains directed to Brittany and western France.

TROCADÉRO
- PARC DES PRINCES - 16ème ARRONDISSEMENT
The 16th arrondissement is one of the biggest arrondissement of
Paris. Tourism is prevalent but as it is confined to the Trocadéro
quarter and the Arc de Triomphe in the north, the sixteenth has
a calm town rather than city feel. Enjoy a beautiful walk through
the Bois de Boulogne, the 865 hectares park that lies on the western
edge of Paris, created during Napoléon III’s empire.

PALAIS
DES CONGRÈS - 17ème ARRONDISSEMENT
The 17th Arrondissement is characterized by the famous “Defense”,
the new business district of Paris. Six kilometres out from the
Arc de Triomphe at the far end of the Voie Triomphale, lies this
district, high on the list of places to which Paris visitors must
pay homage. "La Grande Arche" here located is the monument
dedicated to Fraternity built with Carrara marble and grey granite.
This area is also home to the Palais des Congrès de Paris,
the sight we choose to represent the arrondissement. This Palace
holds exhibitions of the highest level and of world-wide importance.

MONTMARTRE
- PIGALLE - 18ème ARRONDISSEMENT
The 18th Arrondissement is a diverse range of cultures, from the
red light district of Pigalle, the artists of Montmartre, to the
famous flea markets of Clignancourt. Pigalle is home to the distinctly
red industries and is well-known for the Moulin Rouge and the bars
welcoming tourists, and Parisians alike, until the deep night. The
Montmatre is tourists’ favourite area due to Sacré
Coeur’s magnificent views and the artistic atmosphere all
around. Surprisingly, even with in very close proximity, the small
streets winding down the hill are calm and seem to feel a world
away.

LA
VILLETTE - 19ème ARRONDISSEMENT
The 19th arrondissement is mainly represented by the famous Cité
des Sciences in “La Villette” and by the Parc des Buttes
Chaumont. The park was built in the 1860's during Baron Haussmann's
famous transformation of the city. It features a lake, mock Roman
ruins, and very lush vegetation. It is quite a refreshing escape
from the hustle and bustle of the city.

PÈRE
LACHAISE - 20ème ARRONDISSEMENT
The 20th arrondissement is rich in history. It is famous for the
Père-Lachaise cemetery, in which many famous artists are
buried. You can wander among the tombs of Oscar Wilde, Jim Morrison,
and many others. You will discover this arrondissement in a bucolic
and secrete atmosphere.
